Invest2scale Shoots For The Stars With Space Sector Theme For Second Annual Event

The second annual Invest2Scale, an in-person business event aimed at supporting the best scale-up companies in Scotland, is to be staged in Edinburgh later this year. Once again, a selected group of 10-12 company founders will be invited to participate in the showcase which is being held on 31 October at the city’s Virgin Hotel.

While Invest2Scale aims to support scale-ups from all sectors, this year’s one-day event will feature a specific focus on the space and fintech sectors with an audience of entrepreneurs and senior figures from both the UK and global investment community. Space companies including Skyrora and Orbex along with Scottish-based fintechs Br-dge and Direct ID will be among the world-leading businesses and organisations involved in the year’s Invest2Scale.

As well as providing a platform for up-and-coming Scottish scale-up companies, the 2023 event will feature panel discussions on key business growth issues including global expansion; C-suite recruitment; partnering with investors; and the challenges around attracting investment in Scotland.

Launched in 2022, Invest2Scale helps revenue-generating scalable Scottish companies which are ready for high-level growth by providing them with direct access to investors and VCs. The event is led by law firm MBM Commercial, accountants and advisers CT, recruitment specialists Eden Scott, and Angel Capital Scotland (formerly LINC Scotland).

Scalable companies with strong growth aspirations will be invited to participate in the 2023 event. Further information is also available on the Invest2Scale website: www.invest2scale.com

Neil Norman, a partner at CT, one of the founding organisations behind Invest2Scale, said: “Following the positive impact of last year’s inaugural Invest2Scale event, we are delighting to be returning in October for our second annual gathering aimed at supporting Scottish scale-up businesses.

“This face-to-face event is focused on promoting economic growth opportunities across Scotland by targeting revenue-generating companies with significant scalability and putting them in front of investors and other key figures within the global business community.

“While the event will be relevant to businesses from all sectors, this year’s focus on space and fintech puts a strong focus on two key growth sectors within Scotland’s scale-up community.”

Alan Donald of Angel Capital Scotland said: “Along with the other Invest2Scale founder partners, we will leverage our experience and close relationships within Scotland’s business community to help identify many of the companies that could maximise the impact of additional growth investment.

“Over the next few weeks, we also look forward to announcing more details about this year’s line-up of industry experts and key business influencers from Scotland and many other parts of the globe.”
